Bride and Groom Cornhole

Rules of the game

Cornhole is a popular lawn game played with two teams, each consisting of one or two players. The objective is to toss bean bags onto a raised platform with a hole in it.

Scoring: A bag landing on the board scores one point, and a bag that goes through the hole scores three points. Only one team can score per round.

Throwing Technique: Players take turns throwing their bean bags towards the opposite board. They must throw from behind the front edge of their board.

Cancellation Scoring: Only the team with the highest-scoring bag(s) in a round will score points. For example, if Team A scores 2 points and Team B scores 3 points in a round, Team B earns 1 point.

Winning the Game: The first team to reach 21 points wins the game. However, teams must win by exactly 2 points, so if a team reaches 21 but the opponent has 20, the game continues.

Fouls: Common fouls include stepping over the front edge of the board while throwing, tossing out of turn, and distracting opponents. Penalties may include loss of turn or disqualification.

Pitching Rotation: In doubles play, teammates stand at opposite boards and alternate pitching bags.

Cancellation of Tosses: If both teams have an equal number of bags on the board, these points cancel each other out.

Final Round: The game typically ends when one team reaches or exceeds 21 points, provided they're ahead by at least 2 points.
